Finding someone to fill a role is quite hard, but some of these reasons are rather ridiculous.
Actors have a pretty hard job, and many of them are constantly auditioning for roles they want to play. It's normal for actors to have a specific role in mind when casting; however, sometimes they don't get that role for various reasons.
Usually, we might imagine that it's due to a scheduling conflict or perhaps that they didn't perform well in the audition, but sometimes the reason for casting one actor over another is a bit odd and confusing.
