30 Times Twitter Became The Grinch And Ruined Your Favorite Christmas Movies
It turns out Twitter is full of grinches and a whole lot of bah humbugs!

We all love Christmas, right? I mean, it is the most wonderful time of the year, after all.
During the Christmas season, it can be nearly impossible to escape the endless lineup of cringe-worthy holiday films on offer. But then, who would want to?
Even if you're not that into Christmas, can you really resist the charm of Will Ferrell in Elf? Or the utter naughtiness of Billy Bob Thornton in Bad Santa?
So, why do we love these 'bad' Christmas films so much? Well, scientifically, our brains are programmed to love happy endings.
Not only that, but these types of films give us a sense that all is right in the world, and it's okay to keep dreaming. They offer a sense of certainty in our otherwise uncertain lives.
I don't know about you, but nobody—and I mean nobody—is going to ruin my yearly Christmas movie marathon! Well... except maybe the Twitterverse.
It turns out Twitter is full of grinches and a whole lot of bah humbugs! That's right, there are people out there who don't like Christmas, and more specifically, don't like Christmas movies!
Don't worry; I was shocked too. But, alas, it's true, and we have 30 tweets from negative Nancys below to prove it.
1. Home Alone
For real, though, what did Mr. and Mrs. McAllister do for a living? It's been speculated that Peter McAllister was a day trader and Kate McAllister was a fashion designer, but really, we'll probably never know.

                4. Die Hard
Ever since Die Hard came out in the late '80s, it has often been debated whether or not it is a Christmas film. After all, just because a movie is set at Christmas doesn't necessarily make it a Christmas movie.
However, it seems that according to the majority, Die Hard is, in fact, a Christmas film. In a poll conducted on Twitter, 79% of people voted that the 1988 blockbuster is indeed a holiday film.
Some of the reasoning points include that the film features Christmas music, it snows at the end, and Santa Claus makes an appearance (sort of). What do you think?

Now, assuming that we haven't completely put you off all holiday films, what are your favorites? There are so many that it can be impossible to choose which ones to watch when Christmas finally rolls around.
There are the classics, like A Christmas Story, A Charlie Brown Christmas, or It's A Wonderful Life.
You also have your comedies, like Elf, Four Christmases, or The Night Before.
Or, if you're like me and prefer the more cheesy, Hallmark-type rom-coms, you can't go past The Holiday, While You Were Sleeping, or my personal favorite, Love Actually.
Whatever your preference, there are plenty of Christmas movies to go around. So, don't be a grinch; start putting your list together now!
