30 Snapshots Of The Craziest Conversations People Had With Online Scammers
We've all heard of them, and we all despise them.
Scam messages have a way of sounding just believable enough to make people pause, and that tiny pause is where the chaos starts. From fake warranty warnings to bogus IRS notices, online scammers keep recycling the same tired tricks, hoping someone will bite.
These screenshots collect some of the strangest conversations people shared from the Scams subreddit, including a few cases where the target decided to play along and turn the tables. The result is part warning sign, part comedy show, and all too familiar for anyone who has ever opened a suspicious message.
Some of these scammers were exposed fast, and a few got a lot more than they bargained for.
