30 Creepy Artworks That Are Sure to Make Your Blood Run Cold

These comics are not for the faint of heart!

Some artists draw monsters, others draw jokes, but Rémi draws both, and somehow it lands like a punch to the gut. His creepy comic ideas look absurd at first, then they stick in your brain like chewed-up gum you cannot spit out.

It started with his dark-comedy approach, where he tries to make people laugh by turning everyday themes into something quietly wrong. During the pandemic, many comic writers leaned into common problems, and Rémi followed that energy, keeping his core style while cranking up the laughs. The complication is that he is not shy about removing work he does not think measures up, so the collection feels curated, not accidental.

If “Cowboys” and “Diving” sound like random prompts, that is exactly the point, they are dark-comedy setups that refuse to behave.

Rémi has an amazing imagination. Instead of expressing his own opinions, Rémi seeks ideas that often make others laugh, and his go-to style is dark comedy.

He occasionally receives harsh criticism, and if he isn't convinced a comic is good enough, he might decide to take it down. Many comic book writers were inspired by the pandemic and featured common problems in their creations.

He didn't change his work much, but he aimed to make people laugh even more. He did a great job on this collection of artwork.

When you notice how pandemic-era problems show up in the drawings, it hits harder because Rémi did not just copy the vibe, he escalated the weird.

The creep level spikes fast when “Tooth Fairy” and “Taking a Bath” turn familiar stuff into scenes that feel slightly too rational to be safe.

By the time you reach “Trash,” you realize the real twist is Rémi’s decision-making, he takes down anything that does not earn a laugh.

Although Rémi's drawings may have an absurdist quality to them, they always retain a sense of rationality. Finding a good idea, in his opinion, is the most challenging part of creating comics, and when he exhibits one that he thinks is a great idea, that's when it's most fulfilling.

He richly deserves every honor bestowed upon him because of the exceptional caliber of his creative thoughts.

He might be making you laugh, but your stomach will still drop at “What’s in There?”
