Dad Trashes His Son and Daughter-in-Law on Facebook After They Bailed on Mother's Day Dinner
The man called his son "selfish" and accused his daughter-in-law of thinking she was too good for them.
Family disagreements are certainly not unusual, especially surrounding holidays or special occasions. All it takes is a slight misunderstanding, and you've got yourself some serious family drama.
Reddit user u/FunReview6 shared a story on the AITA (Am I The A**Hole?) subreddit about how he took to social media to "trash" his son and daughter-in-law after an argument. You see, the son and his wife were supposed to join their parents for dinner on Mother's Day, but they canceled at the last minute.
The kids claimed they had to work, but our OP saw on Facebook that they had actually spent Mother's Day with HER parents. The nerve of those naughty kids!
The OP's son had sent flowers to his mother, but evidently, that just wasn't good enough. So, u/FunReview6 did what any father would do (not); he went on Facebook and ripped his son a new one.
The OP called his son a "selfish a**hole" and accused his daughter-in-law of thinking she was too good for them.
He also decided it would be good to bring up all the nice things he and his wife had done for them in the past, such as helping to pay for their wedding and "other bills." He then went on to say he's thinking about "shaming them again."
Later on, the OP posted an update saying he had spoken with his son. He basically told him he should get his "new family" to adopt him and posted a link about adult adoption. Oh, wow!

What's your opinion on this? Do you agree that the OP is entirely in the wrong here, or do you think he has reason to be angry with his son and daughter-in-law for lying?
Either way, surely the father of grown children should know better. I mean, trashing your son and daughter-in-law all over Facebook? Really?
