Delivery Driver Calls Cops On A Customer Because She Thought "Her Kind" Couldn’t Own A Golden Retriever
Ordering food to be delivered to your home usually goes well without a hitch, but what happens when it doesn't?
One food delivery run turned into a full-blown police call after a driver made a wild assumption about who could own a golden retriever. What should have been a routine dinner drop-off instead became an uncomfortable scene about race, suspicion, and a dog that clearly belonged where it was standing.
The Reddit user behind the story, Agent Papier, said she was home with her golden retriever when the delivery driver arrived and immediately acted suspicious. The driver reportedly believed a Black woman could not own that kind of dog, then called the cops and tried to have the animal taken away. Things only settled once officers confirmed the dog was hers.
It is the kind of story that leaves people stunned, and the comments did not hold back.

This is the same kind of petty escalation as the neighbor who mocked pet grooming and refused to return a lost cat.

The fact that the delivery girl thought that the OP’s "kind only owns pit bulls and Rottweilers" is really shocking, and to think that there may be others out there who think the same way is truly heartbreaking. Indeed, the police stopping the young lady on her way out of the area was something to be thankful for.
Hopefully, she learned her lesson and left with it as well. People online could not believe how outrageous the entire scenario must have been.
People online were stunned by how far the driver took it.

Some people really do make a simple delivery into a scene nobody forgets.
