18-Year-Old's Parents Kicked Her Out, So Daughter-In-Law Executes Her Revenge
There's nothing petty about this revenge, and we love everything about it.
"Coming out" or "coming out of the closet" is a big deal for LGBTQ+ people. It's scary because you risk your relationship with the people you're coming out to.
By choosing to come out, queer people either receive a positive reaction or a really bad one. When we say a bad reaction, we mean being suddenly homeless, abused, or getting completely cut off from your family, to name a few.
In this 18-year-old's case, when she came out as a trans woman, her parents decided she did not deserve a home anymore. They kicked her out in the middle of the night, took her money, and her car keys just to be sure.
The teenager walked 8 miles to get to her sister-in-law's (SIL) house. She was crying when she knocked on their door, and luckily, they took her in without hesitation.
The SIL and her husband would have cut off ties with the parents immediately, but their wickedness escalated. They decided it was not evil enough to make their daughter homeless.
They refused to give her any of her documents until one of their sons literally barged into their home to take them. They also sold her car, which was under their name.
Still, they weren't satisfied and wanted to ensure she was destitute and miserable. They just had to take all of the money she saved in high school while she worked; it amounted to $8,000.
This is where the brilliant sister-in-law comes in
Her father-in-law is a businessman, and his biggest client is his daughter-in-law's employer. She helped him secure the contract, and it was bringing him a good chunk of money.
SIL's employer is the type of person who treats his employees as his own family. After SIL told him about what happened, her boss told her if she found another supplier that offered a similar deal, they would switch.
SIL credits her father-in-law as a good businessman, but he fudged the contract with her employer. Although they buy from him regularly because he offered them great rates, they were not required to exclusively purchase from him.
He became complacent and assumed they would never switch suppliers. It took SIL six months to find another supplier, but she did.
SIL sat on this information and didn't tell her employer immediately. She knew her in-laws had been wanting to renovate their home for a while, and she waited until the major renovation was ongoing before telling her boss about the new supplier.
The month after, they got all their supplies from the new contractor, and the in-laws' business was crushed. They struggled to find new customers and had to sell their half-torn home to save the business.
Obviously, they didn't get good money for it because of its state. They tried to borrow money from one of their sons, but he promptly told them to f*ck off.
8 years later, they are still bitter about what happened and still haven't bought a new home.

Sometimes what we need most is to be shown just a little bit of humanity.

It was the right amount of revenge, wouldn't you agree?

Some people are too selfish to be parents.

They really went above and beyond to show just how unfit they were to be parents to a wonderful daughter.

You raise children to be their own people, but when they do, you suddenly can't accept it?

If you are this kind of parent, you are robbing yourself of the opportunity to truly know the amazing human being you raised.

When is it okay to kick out your kid for coming out as a trans person? Never. There is no acceptable explanation for making your child homeless for being who they are.
The parents in this story were unnecessarily cruel to their own daughter, and they got punished for it. Not all stories involving trans people have a positive conclusion like this one.
Be kinder to people. If you can't, sooner or later, you will meet someone who will show you just how unacceptable your behavior is, and it won't be pretty.
