This Disneyland Line Went From “Guardians” To “Guard Your Space” Real Quick
One ride queue, zero boundaries, and a dad who completely lost the plot.
A Redditor is going viral after sharing a very Disney-specific rant about personal space, patience, and just how wild theme park lines can get. The whole thing went down while she was waiting for Guardians of the Galaxy at Disneyland.
According to the OP, a family behind her was playing Heads Up while standing in line. Normally, not a problem — except they kept slamming into her every time the line stopped.
The youngest kid was around ten, but the rest of the group were teens and adults. After being bumped multiple times, the Redditor finally turned around and politely asked them to back up.
Instead of apologizing, one of the teens brushed it off with, “It’s a line.” The OP replied that standing close is fine, but repeatedly running into someone definitely isn’t.
That’s when things escalated fast. The dad began yelling “ENOUGH” repeatedly and got right up in her face.
At that point, the Redditor admits she stopped being polite and told him to shut up. The mom chimed in about language, and the OP responded that she didn’t care and not to yell at her.
Her own dad jumped in and told the man to knock it off, while another family member tried to play the “there are children here” card. The Redditor’s response was simple: don’t be rude, and people won’t get angry.
Eventually, things cooled down, and the family finally stood a normal distance back. Unfortunately, they all ended up assigned to the same ride car, which the OP described as deeply ironic.
She made it clear she never screamed, never got in anyone’s face, and never cursed at a child. Her frustration was aimed squarely at the adult who kept bumping into her and then chose to yell about it.

It’s funny how much self awareness people lack at parks like Disneyland. I’m(19F) standing in line for guardians right now and there’s this family behind us playing heads up. Which is totally fine except every time we stop they full on run into us because they’re not paying attention. The youngest is probably around 10 but the rest of the family are teens and adults. The last time they ran into me I turned around and NICELY asked if they could back up because they keep running into us. Teen/adult? girl says “it’s a line.” So I say “I don’t care if you’re standing so close to us you bump into us every time you move it’s too close.” The dad starts full on yelling at me “ENOUGH” over and over so I start telling him to stfu. The mom says something about not cussing and I said idgaf don’t yell at me.My dad cuts in and says to the dad to knock it tf off. The sister pitches in “there’s children here” and again I say idgaf don’t be an @ss and you won’t get people angry at you. Finally things calm down and now they’re standing a normal length behind us. I guess we have to be in the same car as them so that’s great lol let me reiterate that I was calm and did not start cussing until the dad started yelling at me. And i don’t mean yelling as in raising his voice bc he was upset, I mean yelling as in he got up in my face and was SCREAMING at me.I never screamed back at him just raised my voice enough for our two parties to hear. I got in anyones face, I never cussed any child out, just the dad. If I wasn’t at Disney I would have done worse for even getting that close to me. I wasn’t mad at the kid for bumping me, she only bumped me once and I didn’t mind. I only said something when the dad had ran into me and my dad and my sister at least four times.Let’s see how the Reddit community reacted.

In the end, the Redditor’s biggest takeaway wasn’t about ride queues or theme park etiquette — it was about how quickly small moments can spiral when basic courtesy disappears. Disneyland may be known as the happiest place on Earth, but this story is a reminder that a little awareness (and a little personal space) can go a long way in keeping the magic alive.
