Woman Drops Off Her Son at Her Ex-Husband’s House for Custody Time Despite Being Asked to Keep Him
There is no family that doesn’t have its ups and downs, but the way it is handled makes the family stronger.
There is no family that doesn’t have its ups and downs, but the way it is handled makes the family stronger. However, when the storm sets in and cannot be managed effectively, it can lead to a broken home.
If there are kids involved, the battle for custody begins, and it is not an easy one, especially if they’re still little. This story revolves around a scheduled time for custody of a child, where one parent is always making excuses.
The story shared by a Reddit user named u/aitastepup in the AITA Reddit Community illustrates this issue. In her account, the biggest problem before she divorced her husband was that he frequently left on short notice, expecting the OP to handle it.
This behavior continued when it was his turn to adhere to the custody agreement, which stipulated that their son would spend overnight at his place for two weekends every month. On a particular Friday, when the OP was supposed to drop their child off at his house, he texted the night before, stating that he had a plane to catch late that same Friday and that the OP should keep their son.
Did the OP yield to this? Of course not. She ignored his message and dropped their child off at his house.
What happens next? Stick around and find out for yourself.

Just because someone tolerates your silly attitude all the time doesn’t mean that they will do so forever. The day they decide to remember you, it’s going to be a crash course. An agreement is an agreement, and if you can’t keep up with it, it’s better to ask the other party "nicely" to let you off.
