This Amazing Dragon Bench Was Carved With A Chainsaw
It looks like it came straight out of Game of Thrones.
A chainsaw is not the first tool most people would associate with art, but Igor Loskutow has built a career proving otherwise. The woodcarver in Germany turned a block of wood into a dragon bench that looks ready to guard a castle, and the result has made a big splash online.
Loskutow, who was born in Tallinn, Estonia, now works as a Husqvarna representative and wood carving trainer in Bad Dürrheim, Southern Germany. He has won more than ten awards for his work, including first place at the Fasna Carving Festival in the Netherlands in 2009.
His latest creation is drawing even more attention, and the reaction has been just as dramatic as the bench itself.
His most recent accomplishment, the spectacular dragon bench, is sure to bring him more rewards and has already made him an Internet celebrity. “Sh*t looks straight out of Skyrim,” one Reddit user remarked, while others referred to it as “Targaryen-approved.”
People online clearly had a field day with it.

His other carvings show the same level of detail.
This is similar to the pet sitting dilemma where someone neglected a friend’s lizard after an emergency.

It is the kind of work that makes a chainsaw look surprisingly elegant.
