Employees Who Executed Tasks a Little Bit Too Literally While Putting in the Least Amount of Effort
Things that can't get you fired but will probably annoy the hell out of your employer.
Some employees follow instructions so literally that the result is less than helpful and a lot more funny. In workplaces, stores, and restaurants, a tiny misunderstanding can turn into a picture-perfect example of doing the bare minimum.
This roundup collects photos of workers who seemed determined to complete the task exactly as written, even when the outcome made no sense at all. From mislabeled food to oddly placed signs, the results look like pure compliance with a side of mischief.
The best part is how confidently wrong some of these are, and that is exactly what makes them worth a second look.
1. "My note on the cheese fries said: extra cheese on the side"
Reddit2. "Made the engraving, boss."
Whoever made this is either a smartass or someone who doesn't speak English.
Reddit3. "Just put Monday"
As long as it's before Monday, it's good to go. It doesn't matter which Monday.

4. You have successfully failed
They were just testing, I guess.
Reddit
That is one way to follow instructions.
5. "Entered his name, boss"

6. "You’re supposed to unwrap the paper first"
Reddit
7. He did not let him know, I guess.
Read the whole thing to spot the mistake.
Reddit
Someone really committed to the bit here.
8. "My BF ordered an egg and cheese bagel..."
This is what zero motivation looks like.

9. "I'm not sure anything has been cared about less than this pizza."
Absolute chaos in one picture.

10. "Pretty sure that’s supposed to be on a label, not the dessert"
Reddit
At this point, the label is doing all the work.
11. "Spotted in Target. Next level fashion."
"I am 100% positive that a customer did this; probably the only one left of its size, tried it on, didn't like it, and 'put it back.'"---WhiskerBiscuitGoods

12. "I sorted that legal stuff, boss"
Just normal legal stuff, bro.
Reddit
13. "Put the price tags on, boss."
They saw the opportunity and took it.
Reddit
14. "Technically in the right place"
It probably took more effort to do this than it usually takes to rip off the plastic and place it properly.
Reddit
Technically, nobody can say they did not do it.
15. "When they said 'chocolate chip muffin,' I didn't take them literally... but I should have"
Reddit
These people are so done with their jobs, and you can tell that from the amount of effort and care they put into the tasks they do. They are practically doing what they were told; they can't really get into trouble because of that, but I bet they enjoy people's reactions to their masterpieces.
May every workplace have at least one person this literal.
