You know when you do something incredibly stupid, and you wonder how you, a fully grown adult, have survived in this hard and complicated world for so long? Sometimes, your brain just stops working, and you make an unwise choice.
This often happens for one of two reasons. The first reason, and the most excusable, is that you simply never learned something, so you never figured it out. These mistakes are often endearing, stemming from a small lapse in knowledge, and they are the kind of thing people love to correct you about.
On other occasions, you have no excuse for the silly mistake, and your brain just malfunctions. Well, you are probably all too familiar with the sinking feeling that accompanies the error. The only thing you can do is facepalm and try not to run away.
This is why the secondhand embarrassment you will feel from reading these posts will be almost overwhelming. It is the kind of embarrassment that stems from the fact that you understand exactly what it is like to humiliate yourself in this small, yet hilarious way for others.

At the end of the day, there is nothing more embarrassing than doing something silly and then having other people know that you’ve done something silly. So I guess it sucks more for all these people having their awkward moments shared on the internet.
At least, though, there is no harm done, and all of these people have the chance to learn from their unfortunate little mistakes. On the bright side, we all get a good little giggle out of their misfortune.
