Jogger Gets Verbally Harassed Just For Jogging At 4 In The Morning
She was doing nothing but jogging early in the morning, yet someone was still upset.
There are so many things to be angry about in the world right now, such as child hunger, wars, dwindling resources, and the destruction of forests and ecosystems. Yet, some people choose to be upset over the most ridiculous things.
By ridiculous, we don't just mean kids fooling around in their backyard; no, we mean simple and absolutely harmless activities like taking a jog very early in the morning, say, at 4 a.m.
Sure, it can be odd for some to see someone so active and full of life at such an ungodly hour—who wakes up so early just to jog, right? But nobody really pays any mind to it.
It's their thing, and if that's the best time for them to jog, then so be it. It would only be concerning if their jog involved scouting out entrances to your house or something equally suspicious.
For Redditor RuinSpiritual2187, this was definitely not the case. She was simply jogging her usual 4 a.m. route.
Unfortunately, her neighbor saw something suspicious in this, and from the first time her neighbor spotted her at that hour, that neighbor has stood guard and threatened OP with calling the police.
Read on to find out how that came to be.

A brisk morning jog when you work long nights sounds reasonable enough.

"Except she was watching me..."

It was just a simple jog. Sure, it was at an ungodly hour in the morning, but the woman was simply jogging.
Many Redditors also didn't see a problem with this. Here are some of their responses.
Unless that jogger is running toward you with a knife or any weapon, there's really no reason to be afraid of them.
Funky-Spunkmeyer
She has the right to jog at whatever time she wants on her own street.

Some people just have unconventional routines, but that doesn't mean they're murderers or psychopaths.
accidentally-cool
Yelling at someone every day at 4 a.m. and waking up the entire neighborhood is not a great way to alleviate that anxiety.

Have proof and let the world see how ridiculous this woman is.
Electrical-Date-3951
The way she waits for OP at the same time every morning is actually the more suspicious behavior here.
LikeEveryoneSheKno
Everybody simply spends their days and hours differently, and this lady should understand that.
marigoldilocks_
An addition of a noise complaint would be great too.
larlar626
Even if she has anxiety, it does not grant her permission to harass other people.
goalsnbacon
This lady is the one with suspicious intentions, not the jogger.

Sometimes, ignoring can work, but if you're being badgered like this, it can be pretty hard to keep your patience.
PB_Max
Plain and simple. That poor lady must not have been educated about it.
jennid79
Maybe the poor lady had the exact same thing in mind and was just looking out for the community?
jamescoxall
Why would her kids be up at that hour anyway unless she's the one doing the unjust waking up?
fishminer3
Maybe that would be enough to calm her down and stop all the screaming.
Sensitive_Coconut339
Maybe a police report could finally knock some sense into her.
HawkeyeTrapp_0513
Oh, we'd definitely love to see the look on her face if OP does this.
ex_ter_min_ate_
This lady needs a hobby so she doesn't spend all her time waking up too early for nonsense.
hmarie176
It's the lady who's creating her own problems.
Never_Toujours
That lady definitely needed some sense knocked into her.
highONfear
One incident would have been enough because understandably, there are paranoid people out there, but that lady just kept repeatedly harassing her, so she's definitely out of line. Hopefully, some sense was knocked into her so OP could go back to enjoying her peaceful jogs.
OP and the neighborhood deserve peace without that lady being awake at 4 in the morning.
