Man Confronts His GMIL About Being A Terrible Parent And The Whole Family Erupts At Him
Those orange rolls can kill you...
Allergies can be a life-threatening problem. So can dysfunctional families.
When you combine both, it can cause havoc comparable to a nuclear explosion. Just ask our OP.
She wanted to host a Christmas dinner for both sides of the family, but she was beaten to it. So, she opted for a Christmas morning breakfast.
She had prepared several meals, one of which included oranges. Her MIL is allergic to oranges, but OP thought it wasn't a big deal since she is an adult who can simply skip the orange rolls. (To clarify – orange rolls are a traditional Christmas meal in her part of the country.)
They were brightly colored in orange (surprise, surprise), so there was no possibility of mixing them with cinnamon rolls, the other dish on the table. Of course, OP mentioned the ingredients to her mother-in-law and other guests.
Unfortunately, some guests took it as a challenge. One of the MIL's sisters, who bullied her when they were children, thought it would be an excellent prank to smear the orange frosting on MIL's hand.
It quickly turned red, but the situation didn't escalate further after she washed her hand. While the allergy situation calmed down, we can't say the same for the people present.
Take a look at her story, and you will realize how normal your family is...

Well, we feel sorry for the OP because this doesn’t seem to be a loving family. One can’t help but wonder how she ended up there in the first place.
And where is her partner in all of this? We certainly hope she has learned her lesson and will stop inviting these people over.
They are toxic and have unhealthy relationships. Nothing good can come from hanging around these individuals.
Also, a restraining order would be advisable...
