Sailor Moon has been inspiring fan art for decades. Character mashups are not uncommon, but some take it a step further. Even though goth and Sailor Moon have little in common, and we would never think to combine the two, a studio from California decided to prove us wrong.
With wonderful costumes, great camera work, and directing, CineCosu Studios created this stunning fashion editorial video and photoshoot featuring girls from Sailor Moon in the goth style. Dominique Zamora, CineCosu’s art director, says: “We borrowed motifs from witchy media like American Horror Story: Coven and The Craft to create something dark, creepy, and hopefully powerful.”
