Lady Gains Popularity On Social Media After Trying On Her Grandma’s 1950s Honeymoon Dresses

A suitcase full of 1950s honeymoon clothes turned one family keepsake into a viral social media moment. What started as a simple try-on quickly became a touching look at how style, memory, and family history can collide in the best way.
Maddy Bill of Ambler, Pennsylvania, shared the green suitcase her grandmother, Marie D’Alessandro Donato, had packed away more than 70 years ago. Inside were outfits, accessories, and photos from Marie and her late husband Anthony James Donato’s honeymoon in Manhattan after their 1952 wedding, and Maddy’s first video wearing the pieces took off fast.
Then the comments started rolling in, and the family heirloom got a whole new audience.
