Hairstylist Makes His Clients Embrace Grey Hair and Its Grandeur, Instead of Trying to Cover Grey Roots
Amazing transformations that not only look good but also empower women.
Jack Martin built a following by doing something a lot of people spend years avoiding, he helped clients stop hiding their gray hair. One woman came into his California salon after years of dyeing her hair every few weeks, ready for a change that would save time and feel more natural.
Instead of covering the gray roots, Martin and his client worked out a silver transformation that matched her natural color and gave the look a polished finish. The result was such a hit that he shared it on Instagram, and soon more clients wanted the same gray hair makeover.
Now his salon is known for turning gray into the main event.

My clients with natural gray hair come in two or three times a year, instead of every few weeks. The transformation is not just about stunning new looks but also about the empowerment that beautiful gray hair brings. Martin typically performs these transformations in one ten-hour-long session.
He described the process on Instagram, explaining that it starts with applying a color extractor to eliminate any remaining artificial color. Then, while protecting the gray roots, Martin bleaches the rest of the hair to prepare it for the new silver pigment.

Next comes the vital part. The hairstylist creates a new color scheme based on the hair's natural gray pattern. His clients usually come in with three to four inches of their hair roots grown out, allowing him to analyze the natural color scheme. He then recreates the scheme on the entire head of hair.
Some clients have salt and pepper mostly in the front, while the back is darker, so I match that and add some dark to it.

Still, that “bagged boil” funeral plan, where remains get turned into liquid, is hard to forget.
