Disney fans who still have a soft spot for Kim Possible and Even Stevens have an extra reason to keep an eye on Hallmark's holiday slate. Christy Carlson Romano is part of Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True, the first original movie collaboration between Hallmark Channel and Walt Disney World, and it now has a premiere date.
When to watch and who is in it
Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True premieres Saturday, Nov. 28, at 8/7c on Hallmark Channel. It starts streaming on Hallmark+ the following day. The film is part of Hallmark's annual Countdown to Christmas, which is in its 17th year.
Lacey Chabert and Travis Van Winkle star. Romano co-stars alongside Richard Kind and Justin Bruening. For Disney viewers, Romano's casting stands out: she voiced Kim Possible and starred in Even Stevens, giving the project a familiar Disney Channel connection inside a movie made at Walt Disney World.
The story centers on Lindsey, who arrives at Walt Disney World for a Christmas vacation with her extended family. She finds out the room next to hers belongs to Philip, the man from a disastrous first date. Their paths keep crossing during the stay, and a wish made at Cinderella's wishing fountain turns the trip toward romance.
What changes at Walt Disney World first
The movie was filmed entirely on location at Walt Disney World, with filming wrapping at the resort in February. Its holiday setting is built around the resort's real seasonal traditions, making the parks more than a quick backdrop.
Fans will see part of the rollout before the movie airs. A limited-time Hallmark holiday pop-up shop is scheduled to open at Disney Springs in early October, with products inspired by the film. Co-branded greeting cards, ornaments and gifts are also planned for Hallmark Gold Crown stores and online.
The premiere lands on Thanksgiving weekend, when Walt Disney World's holiday season is fully underway. EPCOT's Festival of the Holidays begins Nov. 27, the day before the movie's TV debut.
