Homeless Couple From Viral Storage Unit Video Still Jobless, Asserting They're 'Too Smart' To Work

Despite their viral fame, the couple remains trapped in homelessness, insisting that their intelligence hinders their job prospects.

A Philadelphia man and his girlfriend, Breanna, went viral for trying to “hack” homelessness by living in a storage unit, and it did not end the way TikTok fans probably hoped. Their plan was simple on camera: save money, stay put, and turn a cramped space into a survival setup.

But once their video blew up, their landlord situation apparently blew up too, and they were reportedly evicted from the storage unit. Instead of moving in with family or regrouping, he insisted they were “too smart” to work, then doubled down by choosing a tent, even after the weather turned nasty.

Right after the storage unit eviction rumors hit, the couple’s “we’re too smart for that” attitude didn’t soften, it escalated.

Dismissing the idea with defiance, he declared, 'We're going to make a video on how we’re too smart for that. We're too smart for that. Homeless and smart. We're too smart for that s—t.

By February 7, he and Breanna were done talking about jobs and were done with family options too, choosing a tent instead.

This is the same kind of money-versus-compassion conflict as an AITA about not splitting costs equally with a struggling roommate.

"Enough with the job talk, seriously. "But you know what? Screw all that," he continued defiantly.

"I'm not about to go down that road. I've tried jobs before, and let's face it, I got fired from about 90 percent of them. It's just not my thing. I'm an entrepreneur, self-made, and so is she. However, by February 7, the couple disclosed that they had chosen to live in a tent, opting out of staying with family and embracing their decision to remain homeless.

Their tent setup, from battery lights to sleeping bags and plastic organizers, is what makes the “homeless but thriving” claim feel so complicated.

Criticizing capitalism, he expressed that a minimalist approach suited them well, especially since Breanna's income from OnlyFans and their combined presence on TikTok provided enough for survival.

Breanna chimed in, condemning consumerism and highlighting how people often buy things they don't need or truly want, particularly during events like Christmas and birthdays. The footage revealed a modest setup featuring a small shelf adorned with battery-operated lights. Yoga mats, sleeping bags, plastic organizers filled with provisions, water, and collapsible chairs completed their essentials within the tent.

And when the clip captioned “When You’re Homeless & It Snows” shows them clearing snow off their makeshift home, you can’t ignore how serious the decision really is.

Despite the inclement weather, it appears that the couple remains steadfast in their decision to continue living outside in their tent.

Nobody wants to work for free, but apparently they also do not want to freeze for free.

Evicted from their storage unit, Brown and Breanna’s story makes you wonder about whether to adjust a rent split with a financially struggling friend.
