Times When A Know-It-All Got It Absolutely Wrong
We've all known a know-it-all before, and if you haven't, then you might be one.
Some people don’t recognize a favor, and this thread is basically a greatest-hits collection of that exact vibe. One know-it-all confidently steps into the conversation, starts correcting everyone, and somehow turns a normal exchange into a full-on public spectacle.
It’s a chaotic mix of wrong takes, awkward timing, and the kind of replies that make you read twice. You’ve got people arguing about everything from drinking rules and “the joke” someone missed, to a super fast test that becomes its own punchline, to the weirdest grammar police moments, plus those group tags that show up like, “Yep, this is going to get ugly.” Even the comments that try to defend the person end up making the situation worse.
And by the end, you can’t tell whether they’re joking or just determined to be confidently incorrect.
Clearly, not everyone has an age limit of 21, and there are countries with a much lower limit for drinking.

Obviously, they just didn't get the joke, but their response made it much funnier.

They have no idea how excited we all were when we could pause things so we didn't miss them.
Well, some kids might just be a little smarter than adults sometimes, but she tried to teach a valuable lesson here.
Honestly, I wouldn't have even known how to respond to this.
What a convenient way to show this: through a text message and an awfully fast positive test.
Hey, at least these people were ready to defend him at all costs, even if it wasn't necessary.
The comments on these types of posts are always so funny. We love reading them, and we definitely think they're out of the box.
I mean, yeah, it is five... eleven utensils.
Now these people must be joking at this point because what are they talking about?
Uneducated people at their finest. We love to see people making fools of themselves.
Obviously, this person had no idea what they were talking about, so they shouldn't have commented.
That's the first time I've ever heard that before, but okay, believe what you want.
The group tags are always the funniest parts of these conversations.
This is similar to the AITA fight over splitting a dinner bill evenly after everyone objected.
People are actually not educated about this at all, and it's pretty interesting.
You're both wrong, but those are some interesting perspectives.
It's inevitable—men complain about everything.
This whole thread of conversation is just ridiculous.
Maybe people should just stop trying to correct others' grammar.
It seems like they both listen to mainstream, but honestly, I don't know what's worse.
I don't even understand why they commented that in the first place.
It seems like we all lived the same childhood.
Guess you're getting blocked too.
Who even said that they were reading the Bible anyway? This is history.
Not sure if everyone has an accent, but I guess technically they do.
Maybe to you they aren't, but to most people, they definitely are.
Someone needs to tell them that this is wrong.
Nice try there, but not quite.
She must be confused or under the influence.
I don't understand why people have to comment stuff like this anyway.
That’s when the drinking-age debate kicks off, and the person who “obviously” didn’t get the joke makes it funnier by refusing to stop talking.
Then the thread pivots to the super fast positive test and a whole bunch of people acting like they were there for the punchline, not the facts.
Right after that, the comments get locked into grammar warfare and group tags, like someone hit “reply” and “argue” at the same time.
Finally, once the Bible-history line shows up and someone says “Guess you’re getting blocked too,” the whole conversation turns into a mess you can’t look away from.
These are just too funny, and we've known people who think they are know-it-alls but prove themselves wrong. These individuals don't know it all, and sometimes they say things when really they didn't need to say anything at all.
The family dinner did not end well, and neither did that comment section.
