Man Decides to Kick His Brother Out of His House Because He Constantly Insults His Wife
Toxic masculinity is the scourge of the earth.
Respect is important. Respecting your host is even more so.
If someone welcomes you into their home, you should be grateful, modest, and respectful. That’s something most of us were taught as children.
But some people don’t seem to understand this or simply don’t care. They come in feeling entitled, demanding, requesting, and giving nothing in return.
Not an ounce of kindness or respect. In their eyes, the world was created to serve them, and they are entitled to everything it has to offer.
In the dark ages, they would probably have been called raiders or barbarians, but now we simply refer to them as rude houseguests from hell. They turn our lives upside down, causing havoc and leaving misery and despair.
Just when we finally manage to get our lives together, they come to visit again. We start dreading the holidays because they bring the same ordeal every year.
Santa will never be the same in our eyes. The sad truth is that we are all the same, and we all have houseguests from hell from time to time.
But how we deal with them is what separates us. For example, one Redditor posted a question: “AITA for calling my brother a sore, slow loser?”
He explained what provoked his actions. His brother was constantly provoking his wife and even started insulting her.
He thought it was amusing, of course. OP did not.
So, he acted. Take a look at his story.
Would you have done otherwise?
OP asks:
RedditHe shares his problem. His wife, Irene, likes to work out
RedditSo does his brother, Will. But he is a fanatic
Reddit
He likes to brag and is basically obnoxious to work out with...
Reddit
Will has been challenging Irene to work out with him
Reddit
And they went on a morning run. Will lost, and his explanation was ridiculous, to say the least.
Reddit
And Will wouldn't let it go
Reddit
And dinner was the final straw.
Reddit
So, now Will is angry at OP
Reddit
Redditors shared their views. And right off the bat - bullseye!
Reddit
What kind of person does that?
Reddit
Yup, all clear now...
Reddit
Yes, Will kind of makes you love to hate him
Reddit
Good plan

It is clear that “Will” here is bursting with toxic masculinity. People like that can’t control it.
Or can they? Is it the upbringing?
OP and his brother have the same parents, so it is unlikely they were raised in different ways. So what’s the cause of his behavior?
Maybe it's jealousy of his brother’s good marriage?
They would get along great. They deserve each other
Reddit
Toxic masculinity it is
Reddit
Sure sounds like it
Reddit
Problem solved
Reddit
We could use the info....
Reddit
Partner support is important
Reddit
Being so disrespectful to your host in their home is unacceptable.

We can’t say we are surprised that Will’s marriage ended the way it did. It is hard to find a guy like him without a messy divorce under his belt.
What really struck us was the mutual friend’s opinion. He sided with Will.
How many of you want to bet he has a messy divorce behind him as well?
