Disney Adventure World Pauses Mickey and the Magician for 2027 Theater Refurbishment
Disney Adventure World will pause Mickey and the Magician in 2027 as the Animagique Theater begins a lengthy refurbishment on Jan. 10.
Disneyland Paris fans planning a 2027 visit to Disney Adventure World will need to skip one of the park's best-known stage shows. Mickey and the Magician is set to go dark as its home venue, the Animagique Theater, enters an extended refurbishment.
The change affects guests looking to catch Mickey and the Magician at Disney Adventure World in 2027. The production, one of the park's most popular and acclaimed entertainment offerings, will pause because the Animagique Theater is scheduled for a months-long refurbishment beginning January 10, 2027. Disneyland Paris has not announced a specific reopening date for the show.
Mickey and the Magician has been performed in the Animagique Theater since 2016. A refreshed version debuted in 2022, continuing the show's setup inside an atelier, where Mickey is assigned to tidy the room at night. Tinker Bell's pixie dust interrupts the task before sunrise, sending the show into musical visits inspired by Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Aladdin, and Frozen.
The production is also known for its live magic work. Its illusions draw on the legacy of Georges Méliès and Robert-Houdin, and were created by magician Paul Kieve.
While this closure removes a major live entertainment option from the park's lineup, Disneyland Paris has already pointed to other 2027 offerings. Adventure Way is set to add the Wilderness Explorer Sky Swings, themed to Pixar's Up. The resort has also said Alice and the Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland will return in the spring.
For now, the key planning note is simple: if Mickey and the Magician is on your must-do list, 2027 will not be the year to see it at Disney Adventure World.
