The fixed-price Palo dinner is ending on Disney Cruise Line. Here is the ship-by-ship rollout

Disney Cruise Line is replacing Palo's prix fixe dinner with a la carte ordering from Oct. 22 to Oct. 26 across all eight ships.

One of Disney Cruise Line's best-known adults-only dining experiences is getting a notable reset. Starting October 22, dinner at Palo Steakhouse and Palo Trattoria begins moving away from a prix fixe format and over to a la carte ordering, with the update reaching the full fleet by October 26.

What changes at Palo, and when it happens

Disney says the new dinner setup will feature a selection of Palo items offered with individual pricing instead of the current set dinner menu. The company has not identified which dishes will remain on the menu under the new format.

The rollout starts with the Disney Wonder on October 22. On October 23, the change reaches the Disney Fantasy, Disney Dream, and Disney Wish. October 24 is the transition date for the Disney Magic, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny. The final ship in the phased change is the Disney Adventure on October 26.

That means the update will be in place across all eight ships by the end of the rollout.

Who is affected, and what guests should know before sailing

The change matters most for guests who already have Palo dinner plans, and for higher-tier Castaway Club members who use the dinner credit tied to that experience. Disney says Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club members, plus guests staying in the same stateroom, can still apply their $55 per person dinner credit toward a broad range of a la carte dinner items.

That benefit remains limited to dinner and does not extend to brunch. Guests will still need to cover beverage costs, gratuities, and any portion of the bill that goes beyond the credit amount.

For travelers checking whether they qualify, Platinum status begins after 10 sailings and Pearl begins after 25 sailings. Guests who want to review availability or adjust an existing booking can do that through the My Reservations section on DCL.com. Disney also says pre-arranged activities may be modified online up to three days before sailing.

Eligible Platinum and Pearl members are set to receive a SeaMail message with the update, giving repeat cruisers a heads-up before the new Palo dinner format reaches their ship.
