Man Realizes His Name Was Not Actually His Real Name After 22 Years, And It's All Because He Tried To Give A Plasma Donation
Fooled for over two decades with his own name!
A simple plasma donation turned into a full identity crisis for one Reddit user, and the reason was buried in paperwork, family history, and one very unfortunate middle name.
After trying to donate plasma, the Redditor known as u/pacergramfitnesstest noticed a mismatch between his Social Security number and ID, which led him to ask his mother about the name he had used for 22 years. That conversation revealed his second middle name had been added later, while the name on his birth certificate was something he never expected.
Reddit had plenty to say once the middle name came out, and the reactions are almost as memorable as the story itself. Read on.

People who have gone through this realization have definitely gained an additional and significant amount of stress in their lives, what with the changes needed in documents because they had their name wrong their whole life. For OP, however, it truly is unfortunate that the hideous nickname, allegedly Cooterbob, turned out to be the only one on his birth certificate!
