So I (28M) live with my roommate (25F) who's really into gaming. For background, we split all the bills evenly, rent, utilities, everything.
Recently, I noticed a significant spike in our electricity bill. After some investigation, I found out that it's because my roommate leaves her gaming setup running 24/7.
This has caused our bill to skyrocket. I brought it up to her casually, hoping she'd be more conscious about it, but she just shrugged it off, saying it's necessary for her gaming.
The next month, the bill was even higher. I tried talking to her again, explaining that it's unfair for me to cover the extra cost for her gaming habits.
