Making a few missteps along the way is a common part of getting the job done. Accepting your hiccups and making amends for your shortcomings, on the other hand, prevents them from haunting you and transforms them into amusing anecdotes you can share to make people laugh.
After quarantine and this pandemic nightmare, the first thing we wanted to do was go to a restaurant. We wanted to experience what it's like to be greeted, seated, asked, 'What would you like to order?', congratulated on a 'great choice,' and handed a glass of Chardonnay.
The only thing we wanted to worry about was what to get for dessert. But then reality hits.

Working as a server is extremely difficult, especially in the post-COVID era. Most restaurants are understaffed, and servers have to cover more tables and work longer shifts.
In addition, they have to serve customers who are finally free after a long series of lockdowns and often have unrealistic expectations (romanticized ideas of a perfect night out). This creates immense stress, and it is only natural to expect that the poor staff will start making mistakes.
