12 Servers Who Could Easily Win The "Worst Server Award" For Their Incredible Failures
Unless they fail at that too...
Making a few missteps along the way is a common part of getting the job done. Accepting your hiccups and making amends for your shortcomings, on the other hand, prevents them from haunting you and transforms them into amusing anecdotes you can share to make people laugh.
After quarantine and this pandemic nightmare, the first thing we wanted to do was go to a restaurant. We wanted to experience what it's like to be greeted, seated, asked, 'What would you like to order?', congratulated on a 'great choice,' and handed a glass of Chardonnay.
The only thing we wanted to worry about was what to get for dessert. But then reality hits.
We have romanticized nights out and forgotten all about the things that can go wrong. Whether it's the inability to find parking, waiting in line at the restaurant, awful food, or poor service—so many things can go awry.
And they usually do. Since we do most of our interaction with the servers, their failures are the most noticeable.
Working as a server is extremely difficult, especially in the post-COVID era. Most restaurants are understaffed, and servers have to cover more tables and work longer shifts.
In addition, they have to serve customers who are finally free after a long series of lockdowns and often have unrealistic expectations (romanticized ideas of a perfect night out). This creates immense stress, and it is only natural to expect that the poor staff will start making mistakes.
We have collected some of the most interesting posts about server fails, and we know you will find them captivating. We also hope you will show some understanding for all of their work challenges (yes, us).
