Gay Son Pens A Savage Obituary For His Dearly Departed Mother And People All Over The Internet Are Loving The Shade
"Yes, Renay lied a lot. But on the plus side, Renay didn't cook, she didn't clean, and she was also lousy with money."
Life is not meant to be lived safely. It's one hell of an amusement ride full of highs and lows that leaves you with both a rush and bruises by the end of it.
To live a life like that is a dream. It also makes for a great story to tell your family when you get older and regale them with tales of your adventures.
Renay Mandel Corren lived a remarkable journey — and then some. We got to see a synopsis of her life when her son, Andy Corren, wrote a brutally honest, somewhat snarky, yet loving tribute to his mom.
Renay passed away recently, and her obituary quickly went viral. It's unusual for an obituary to hit national and internet news unless you're popular like Larry King, but Renay's was a great exception.
In one interview, Andy Corren shared that although it was a shady obituary, his trash-talking, atheist mother would have loved the tribute to her. Based on the stories crammed into the obituary, we are inclined to agree.
From bankruptcies, carbo-loading, gambling, a murderous soda, six kids, a divorce, and an alleged saucy affair with Larry King, Renay lived one hell of a life! Those are just the stories that made it into the obituary; can you imagine the ones Renay shared only with her loved ones?
Renay Mandel Corren, 84 years old

On what's supposed to be Renay's 85th birthday next year, her family and friends have planned a memorial for her. It will be held in her favorite bowling alley, and it's promised to be a rager in Renay's honor.
Why do we have a feeling that a lot of internet strangers will show up to remember Renay? Do her proud and try to make the memorial as loud as you can, folks!
In Andy's own words, people needed a reason to laugh. Although he was sad about Renay's passing, he was glad that his mom was able to make people smile, even for just a moment, because it was what she did while she was alive.
We can only hope to live a life such as yours, Renay! May your memory be a blessing, and thank you for inspiring others to live life as ruggedly as possible!
