Dude Excited To Show MIL Newly Built Deck, Ended Up Showing Her His Pic Taken Under The Shower

She kept swiping through photos on the phone until her jaw hit the floor.

Some stories start with a proud moment and end with a family memory nobody can unsee. That is exactly what happened when Reddit user gunsmoke1389 wanted to show off a newly built deck to his mother-in-law.

He had been working hard on the project and was excited to share the finished result, but one accidental photo on his phone changed the whole mood. His wife had snapped a shower picture of him earlier, and he had no idea it was still there when he started scrolling through deck photos.

That would've been appropriate if FIL had seen the pics instead of MIL.

Poor gunsmoke1389, but we're glad it all worked out in the end! We're hoping his wife will explain the snickering and the embarrassment.

Thankfully, his in-laws took the light of the entire situation, and although they won't forget the full-frontal pic, at least they know he's a good man (lol).

Okay, who are we kidding? He's going to feel the roast for years to come!

Either way, the deck turned out great, and everyone was impressed. In the end, the dude learned a life lesson about the importance and lack of grooming (that ultimately ended up saving his grace).

ROFL.

That deck will never be just a deck again.
