People Disclose 30 Real Reasons Corporations Don’t Want You To Work From Home Anymore
They are, sadly, very right.
Remote work changed the way millions of people think about jobs, commutes, and daily life, and not everyone is eager to give that up. For many workers, home became the place where they could get more done, save money, and reclaim time that used to disappear on the road.
That is why calls to bring employees back into the office have sparked so much pushback. In this story, people on social media spell out why they think corporations are so determined to end work from home, even when workers say hybrid schedules or fully remote setups make more sense.
The reasons they share are blunt, funny, and sometimes frustratingly familiar. Read on.

Gallup's State of the Workforce survey of over 9,000 American workers in May/June indicated that 91% of workers in the United States who spend at least a portion of their hours working remotely hoped their ability to work from home would continue after the pandemic. Hybrid work was the most popular option.
Overall, 54% of respondents stated they would prefer to split their time between working at home and in the office. Only 9% wanted to return to the office full-time, while more than a third (37%) preferred to work from home exclusively.
This is similar to the AITA fight over turning a childhood room into her parents’ office.
That preference is hard to miss.

The desire to work remotely was primarily motivated by the need to save time. The top reasons for preferring remote work included not having to commute, the need for flexibility to balance work and personal obligations, and improved well-being, likely due to having more time.
If their firm bans remote work, 3 out of 10 employees working remotely stated they are extremely likely to seek another job. So, which option do you think is better?
For a lot of workers, the answer is already obvious.
