Some celebrity flight stories are messy enough to make a routine trip feel like a headline waiting to happen. A simple boarding process turns into a public scene, and suddenly the passenger list includes a few very familiar names.
From arguments with crew members to behavior that crossed the line, these incidents show how quickly a flight can go off the rails. The people involved are famous, but the reasons they were removed from planes are often surprisingly ordinary, or completely baffling.

1. Kate Moss
The supermodel was escorted off an EasyJet flight at England's London Luton airport in 2015 after squabbling with flight crew members over alcohol.

He was taken off a flight after reportedly getting violent with a fellow passenger. Well, it appeared that Mike punched a man who had requested to take a photo with him before proceeding to harass him as the flight continued.

While aboard a private jet heading from New Jersey to Ohio, Dave reportedly exhibited such erratic behavior that the pilot opted to divert the plane to Pittsburgh in order to make an emergency landing.

5. Selma Blair
Selms allegedly went on a bizarre rant and then blacked out. She was carried off a plane on a stretcher and rushed to a Los Angeles hospital.
Selma apologized days later saying she made the mistake of mixing alcohol with prescription medication.

In 1994, Christian Slater boarded a Delta flight with an unlicensed 9mm pistol in his carry-on luggage, which resulted in his removal from the flight and swift arrest.

Donald Trump's ex-wife, Ivana Trump was tossed off a plane in Florida in 2009 after allegedly screaming obscenities at a group of rowdy children who were running down the aisles.

She was kicked off a British Airways flight in 2008 for allegedly going on a screaming rampage when told that one of the bags was AWOL.

11. Kevin Smith
In 2010, Kevin Smith was booted off a Southwest Air flight for being overweight. Well, he had purchased two seats for the flight from Oakland to Burbank, California, but decided to fly stand-by on an earlier flight, purchasing the one remaining seat on it.
The flight attendants said he was infringing on the comfort of adjacent passengers and told him to leave.

She was kicked off a Southwest Air flight for kissing her girlfriend, Camila Grey, who was seated next to her. Apparently, a flight attendant asked the lesbian couple to refrain from any more PDA, but they both let out their outrage and were escorted off the plane.

13. Gérard Depardieu
After having too much to drink before boarding a CityJet flight in 2011, the French actor felt a pressing need to urinate but was told to wait until the plane had reached the appropriate cruising altitude. Then, he attempted to pee into an empty bottle and it splattered on the floor, leading to him being thrown out.

She was kicked off a United Airlines flight in 2006 following an argument over a hair dryer. A crew member issued a warning to Mo’Nique but she became enraged saying she was being racially profiled.
