15 Times Celebrities Just Couldn't Hold It In And Lost Their Cool In Public
Celebs have their moments too.
All the red carpet events, the adoration of the people, and the huge paychecks make a celeb's life seem absolutely great, but we have to admit, the job also comes with a lot of downsides. In addition to that, they also have to deal with a lot of pressure, not just from everyone around them.
Given that they're public figures, there's a certain kind of behavior expected from them whenever they appear in public. In fact, it's often demanded of them, or else they might lose contracts or job opportunities in the future.
But, of course, they're just humans like us. They're not saints.
It's not always easy to be on your 100% best behavior and maintain your composure in the face of literally everything thrown your way. That's why it's not hard to imagine why so many of them have had meltdowns in public or while on camera.
In fact, it's actually surprising how most celebrities out and about in Hollywood right now have maintained their cool for so long. Maybe they've had tons and tons of practice?
Who knows? All we do know is that these celebs don't have it easy, breakdown or not.
With that, here are 15 celebs who totally lost their cool in public.
1. Will Smith
At the 2022 Oscars, comedian Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's hair loss, which was caused by a condition called alopecia. While the audience found the joke funny, Will Smith found it offensive. He got on stage and straight out slapped Chris.
Will then continued to yell at Chris from his seat. Although the actor won an Oscar for Best Actor and was able to explain that he was defending his wife, his actions had significant consequences.
Many of his projects were put on hold, and he was forced to resign from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which also banned him from attending the awards ceremony for the next 10 years.

In March 2022, the former 98 Degrees singer was caught on camera verbally attacking a photographer before he attempted to snatch her phone through a car window. According to TMZ, Nick and his wife Vanessa were on their way home when Nick noticed the female paparazzo trailing after them.
Later, Nick apologized on Twitter, saying he "overreacted." Still, it wasn't a good look for him.

3. Britney Spears
In February 2007, Britney famously shaved her head and attacked a paparazzo's car.
"I noticed her hair was gone. I remember asking her, 'Why did you shave your head?' And her answer was a bit weird," tattoo artist Emily Wynee-Hughes said in a 2019 documentary. "It was, you know, 'I just don't want anybody, anybody touching my head. I don't want anyone touching my hair. I'm sick of people touching my hair.'"

4. Kanye West
Just before the KimYe split went public, Kanye ranted about his family on Twitter and at a campaign rally for his failed 2020 presidential run. He shared that he actually considered aborting Kim's pregnancy with their first child, North, and he accused her family of trying to lock him up because of his mental health.

5. Charlie Sheen
Charlie Sheen has probably had one of the biggest meltdowns in Hollywood history when he was fired from Two and a Half Men after calling out showrunner Chuck Lorre on the radio. Charlie would also go on to become famous for his "tiger blood" and "winning" rants.

6. Justin Bieber
After struggling with his mental health for some time, Justin suddenly canceled all his meet-and-greets with fans in 2016 for the rest of his Purpose tour, saying that taking in their energy was becoming too draining for him.
"I enjoy meeting such incredible people, but I end up filled with so much of other people's spiritual energy that I end up so drained and unhappy," he wrote on Instagram.

7. Mel Gibson
Mel Gibson has had quite a few known meltdowns, but his most famous one occurred in 2010 when an audio recording leaked of Mel arguing with his then-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, where he made racist and sexist comments about her that were difficult to walk away from.

8. Christian Bale
In 2009, Christian's expletive-ridden rant on the set of Terminator: Salvation was all caught on camera. In the clip, he yelled and cursed at cinematographer Shane Hurlbut, saying, "Am I going to walk around and rip your f---ing lights down in the middle of a scene? Then why the f--- are you walking right through — ah-da-da-dah, like this — in the background? What the f--- is it with you? What don't you f---ing understand?"

9. Alec Baldwin
Alec was also a victim of an audio tape leak in 2007. Back then, a voicemail was released online of Alec calling his oldest daughter, Ireland, who was only 11 at the time, a "rude, thoughtless little pig" when she didn't answer the phone.

10. Reese Witherspoon
In 2013, Reese was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, and her conversation with the police officer was less than friendly. Worse, it was all caught on camera.
At one point, she tried to use her fame to get out of the situation, saying, "Do you know my name? You better not arrest me."

The world was in shock when footage emerged of Solange hitting and kicking her brother-in-law Jay-Z in an elevator at the Met Gala in 2014. What makes it worse is that it was never fully explained, so the mystery goes on.

In 2011, Chris suddenly stormed off the set of Good Morning America when he was asked about the domestic violence issue he had with Rihanna. After he stormed off, it was also discovered that he broke a window in his dressing room before he left the studio.

We all have moments when we just couldn't hold it in any longer, and celebs have those moments too. Unfortunately for them, every move they make is being watched by someone who won't let them get away with it.
We have to say, though, the way many of them deal with those situations is just astounding, especially the way they bounce back. It's not easy, and their effort really sometimes deserves commendation.
