This Person Turned A Boring Wall Into A Brand New Fireplace In Their Home

If you are a DIY lover, then you're definitely going to love this.

A 28-year-old homeowner looked at a plain, boring wall and refused to leave it that way, so she decided to turn it into a full-on fireplace setup. The “before” photos barely show anything but blank drywall, which makes the transformation feel almost unreal.

At first, the project looked complicated in the most DIY way possible, supports went in behind the wall, the fireplace location got mapped out, and then sheetrock was layered to create a solid foundation. Even the extra backend work mattered, because once the structure was right, everything else could finally snap into place.

By the time the white and gray stone showed up, you could see the vision clearly, and the whole room looked brand new.

As you can see here, this is the before of the wall, and you can't really see the vision for the fireplace.

The supports of the backside area were the first thing they did, and this kind of laid out where the fireplace would go.

This is when you could tell exactly what they were doing with the space, and it started to come together with the backside of it.

Sheetrock was the next step, and this would lay the foundation of the fireplace. The extra work on the backend will keep the fireplace sturdy for years to come.

The moment she built the backside supports, the wall stopped being “just a wall” and started acting like a plan.

This is similar to the roommate debate about whether they should force separate space for a pet rabbit.

When the sheetrock went up, it was the first time the fireplace actually looked like it had a future, not just a sketch.

Once the white and gray stones were chosen and installed, the DIY project finally started looking like the finished reveal in her head.

And after the flooring was added last, the fireplace stopped looking like an isolated upgrade and started pulling the whole space together.

Now, this DIY project is like nothing we've ever seen before because the finished project is completely different from the original photo of the wall itself. Putting a fireplace here was perfect because you can really see at the end of the photos what vision they were aiming for, and it truly did transform the space.

Will you be taking on a project like this soon?

She turned a blank wall into a fireplace so good it looks impossible for it to have started as DIY.
