This Person Turned A Boring Wall Into A Brand New Fireplace In Their Home

A 28-year-old homeowner looked at a plain, boring wall and refused to leave it that way, so she decided to turn it into a full-on fireplace setup. The “before” photos barely show anything but blank drywall, which makes the transformation feel almost unreal.

At first, the project looked complicated in the most DIY way possible, supports went in behind the wall, the fireplace location got mapped out, and then sheetrock was layered to create a solid foundation. Even the extra backend work mattered, because once the structure was right, everything else could finally snap into place.

By the time the white and gray stone showed up, you could see the vision clearly, and the whole room looked brand new.

The flooring, which was completely opposite to the fireplace, was the last step in their renovations, and this really pulled everything together.

Seeing the completed image, I would have never thought that this was a DIY fireplace at all.

The moment she built the backside supports, the wall stopped being “just a wall” and started acting like a plan.
