Customers Rip Open Sam's Club Box Of Sweaters And Get Backlash For Their Decision
The lengths that people will go to in order to take advantage of a sale are astonishing.
Holiday shopping can bring out the worst in people, especially when a sale item is sitting right there in plain sight. A viral video making the rounds shows shoppers at Sam's Club tearing into an unopened box of sweaters, and the backlash was immediate.
The clip sparked a wave of reactions from viewers, many of whom focused on how quickly a simple shopping trip turned into a mess. With retail workers and former employees chiming in, the conversation shifted from the video itself to the bigger issue of entitlement in stores.
Now the comments are doing almost as much damage as the footage. Read on.
This time of year is when people are notorious for doing crazy things to take advantage of a sale.
This TikToker took it upon himself to film and share a video of Sam's Club customers ripping into an unopened merchandise box. The customers did this because they read the side of the box, which indicated it contained Christmas crewnecks, and clearly wanted them badly enough to rip the box open.
@josephinehatch6In the video, the ladies are just looking at the display at first, then one lady rips open the unopened merchandise boxes with her keys.
Once the first lady rips open the box, everyone else basically helps themselves as soon as the box is open.
@josephinehatch6This is when people really decided to comment on the video, and it seems like all the retail employees were cringing.

It echoes the cousin drama of a cash gift spent on designer clothes, and the request to get it back.
Unfortunately, people are more entitled than we think they are.
Many were honestly surprised that they even felt the need to do that.

Exactly this. People have no idea how this can affect the company, the counts, and overall inventory.
Obviously, if the boxes weren't open, then they probably weren't ready to be put on sale or purchased by customers.

Again, this kind of behavior seriously disrupts inventory and counts.
Clearly, these customers did not consider the workers or the company at all.

After seeing these comments, I think we should all agree that this is definitely not okay.
