We go through the pregnancies with them and eagerly await the new babies as if we're anticipating a new family member.
Data shows that we spend three to four hours every day watching TV on average. So, it makes sense that we tend to form quite an attachment to our favorite TV characters and personalities.
We grow to love them as though they are our own personal friends or even family. We're interested in their jobs and relationships; we grieve for them when they die, and we're happy for them when they succeed.
One thing that brings us genuine joy is when two of our favorite characters fall in love with each other. We love to see them happy, and we enjoy being a fly on the wall as their relationships blossom.
Remember when Monica and Chandler first got together? The secrecy, the passion, the excitement—we felt like we were a part of it.
And what about Carrie and Mr. Big? Our hearts repeatedly broke as they navigated their romance over the years, and we were overwhelmed with pure joy when they finally tied the knot.
Yes, these characters mean a lot to us, and their relationships with each other mean so much more. So, what happens when our favorite TV couples have children?
That's a whole new level of excitement! We go through the pregnancies with them and eagerly await the new babies as if we're anticipating a new family member.
However, while we've been able to watch some of our favorite couples start their families, many never did. We kept watching and hoping for those pregnancy announcements, but they never came.
