Man Finds Out He Wasn't The Only One Who Got A Heartless Rejection Letter From a Prestigious School
Truly, words can either make or break someone's potential to achieve greater things.
To be a successful artist, it is advantageous to study at a prestigious school. This is where artists are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills that they can apply to every masterpiece they create.
However, it is not easy to get into your dream school, especially if you are an artist. The probability of receiving a rejection letter is so high that even the most talented individuals are not exempt from it.
This rejection might discourage others from pursuing their dreams as artists. Those who have lost hope tend to choose another career path that they believe is more attainable.
On the other hand, some people use this rejection as a challenge to improve and continue working hard for their dreams. This is what happened to Jonas Jödicke, a Berlin-based artist who did not let the heartless rejection letter from the Berlin University of Arts, where he applied, hinder his journey to becoming the artist he is today.
Jonas shared his experience to motivate other artists to continue their passion, even if art schools do not recognize their creations as "art." Additionally, he called out the art school that sent the rejection letter to highlight how insensitive their message was to those striving to pursue a career in the arts.

Jonas proved that whenever a door of opportunity closes for you, another one opens. You just have to find the right people and places that would value your talent.
Additionally, this video reminds art schools to be considerate in their rejection letters, ensuring they do not make applicants feel less talented. As Jonas said, "Diversity is what makes life interesting—and it should be no different with art."
