So I'm (28F) and live with my roommate (30M). We both have pets - I have a senior dog who's been on a special, expensive diet due to his sensitive stomach.

My roommate has a young cat who he feeds regular cat food. A few days back, my roommate ran out of cat food and asked if he could give his cat some of my dog's high-end food as a temporary solution until he could buy more cat food.

I hesitated but eventually said no because my dog's food isn't suitable for cats and could harm them. My roommate got upset, saying I was being selfish and that it's just a short-term thing.

He ended up having to rush out to buy cat food. Now he's giving me the cold shoulder and making passive-aggressive comments.

I feel bad, but I didn't want to risk his cat's health. So AITA?

I honestly don't know if I'm wrong here.
