Young Waiter Shared A Weird DM He Got From Mature Woman, And It Went Viral
Is this the equivalent of harassment or simply a very bad pick-up line?
Tweets and social media posts about the harassment that women have to endure are unfortunately quite common. Occasionally, we can gain insight into how it looks from another perspective.
A guy going by TJ under the handle @troyhibler_17 on Twitter shared screenshots of a woman making a move on him, but in a completely inappropriate way.
TJ is a waiter, and he met an older lady while he was working at a restaurant in San Marcos, Texas. Apparently, the woman liked him very much, so she took a photo with him and shared it on Facebook, captioning it: “Having lunch… got the best handsome gentleman waiter with the sexiest eyes I’ve ever seen….”
To some people, even this would be reasonably distasteful, but the woman didn’t stop there.
Twitter
He posted a screenshot of their conversation
Twitter“Hey sexy, thank you for accepting my friend request,” she wrote. It can’t exactly be called a polite greeting.
TJ politely replied, “You’re more than welcome! Thank y’all for coming through today.” She responded, “Anytime, my love,” with a winky emoji at the end. It would have been great if this was the end.
Later that evening, the woman sent another message, writing, “By the way, I left with wet panties; thank you lol.”
I don’t think we want to know what her next message might have been.
TJ described both screenshots, saying, “It was an interesting day…”
This is clearly a case of harassment by a strange woman whose table he served at his restaurant. People found it hard to believe that this woman would dare:
Unfortunately, this is not unusual. Some research shows that a staggering percentage of people, from both genders, would engage in harassment or worse if they felt there would be no consequences. Let’s not allow these kinds of actions to go without repercussions.
Some would argue that this is just an unfortunate and distasteful pick-up attempt and not harassment. Objectively, it is borderline, but what if the roles were reversed and a woman was on the receiving end?
