This Man Protests Mask Requirements By Laying On The Costco Floor For 8 Minutes Straight
If you've never seen a grown man throw a tantrum, then today is your lucky day.
One Costco shopper turned a mask requirement into a full-blown scene, and the video still has people talking. What started as a simple store policy quickly turned into a public tantrum, with one man refusing to comply and choosing the floor instead.
The incident happened in December 2020, when Costco required masks inside the building. In the video, the man argues, lies down on the floor for minutes, and eventually gets escorted out by police, while bystanders watch the whole thing unfold.
The reactions are just as memorable as the meltdown, and the comments have plenty to say about it.

Open Grid ScheduleHe laid on the floor for 8 minutes.
The man is being recorded, and the video is about a minute long. He lays on the floor for approximately 8 minutes and threatens anyone who tries to touch him.
The police are eventually called, and it is very clear that this man is throwing a tantrum about the mask mandate inside this Costco store. The police try to talk to him and get him to stand up and put on a mask, but it's evident that the man doesn't want to do either.
dailymailThe police had to escort him out.
He eventually got up and stated that the police told him he could check out and leave without a mask, so that's what he did. He went to self-checkout to purchase his items and was then escorted out of the store by the police.
It is said that the worker was not a fan of the policeman's decision and stated that the man shouldn't have been allowed to get away with his actions, but we are sure that the policeman just wanted him to leave the store as quickly as possible before a larger scene occurred.

He blames the government for not being able to buy his items without a mask.
Comments came rolling in, comparing this man to a toddler throwing a tantrum when they don't get their way. However, it's much more acceptable for a toddler to throw a tantrum than for a grown man to do so. Unfortunately, situations like this have become quite common since the pandemic and the mask mandate began.

A real adult temper tantrum.
People obviously thought it was extremely childish for this man to act the way he did because he refused to wear a mask. This behavior is not suitable for a grown adult, and he should have been embarrassed to act like that.

The man actually got his way.
Allowing this man to check out and leave without a mask gives him the impression that every time he throws a tantrum, he will get his way. This is exactly how toddlers operate during a tantrum, so it shouldn't be any different for him.
Unfortunately for him, adult tantrums don't have the same effect as toddler tantrums.

We've seen many of these scenarios where people are doing outrageous things because they aren't happy about a mask mandate, but there's something about a grown man lying on the floor that resonates with us. This situation is definitely one to remember.
I just wonder what he thinks now, seeing this video circulating around the internet.
May this kind of tantrum stay far away from every checkout line.
