Woman Asks Reddit If She's In The Wrong For Using Human Utensils To Serve Dog Food
Her boyfriend said she was being an a**hole and that she should go and buy a special serving spoon for the dog.
A simple question about dog food turned into a full-blown relationship spat, and Reddit had plenty to say about it.
One woman explained that she and her boyfriend had been using their regular utensils to serve their dog’s food, as long as they were washed afterward. That arrangement seemed fine until his mother visited, called it nasty, and suddenly the boyfriend changed his tune.
Now the couple is arguing over whether a spoon for the dog is a basic hygiene issue or just an unnecessary overreaction. Read on.

The situation escalated when his mother commented that it was "nasty" to use human utensils for the dog food. So, the OP asked the Reddit community if she was the a**hole here.

So, what do you think? Is using human utensils for animal food gross, or is it perfectly fine?
I mean, we've all done it at some point, right? Besides, what's the point of washing our dishes if we don't trust that they're clean afterward?
Well, technically, there is no reason to believe that animal food is unhygienic. Although it may not be particularly appetizing for us, pet food is still food after all and is not dirty.
